How do you work with clients?
When working with clients I find that it is important to listen to their needs, hopes and desires. My goal is to bring clarity to their situation and provide counsel from emotionally charged issues to a time of comfort and understanding.
What do your clients care about most?
I have found that most clients are concerned that their legal rights are being protected. Clients need to know that they are being heard and that their needs are the focus of the Court’s proceedings. They need to know that they are a priority and that I will be working hard to provide them with a timely and favorable resolution.
What major challenges do you help clients manage?
The most important challenge in Family Law is keeping the focus on what is right for the entire family. It must also remain relevant to deal with the needs of the children as they are greatly impacted by the divorce process. It is imperative to keep the desires of the client at the forefront, yet manage their expectations.
What is your favorite part of your work?
My favorite part of Family Law is helping clients navigate through a very stressful and emotional time in their life and help them move forward to a normalized life.
Favorite past time (e.g., sport, activity, hobby)?
Growing up I played soccer, basketball and softball which allowed me to not only be competitive but also learn how to be a team player. I currently enjoy snowboarding, backpacking and hiking.
Do you have siblings?
Yes, my brother and I are first generation Cuban-Americans. We were raised with strong family values that included the importance of education and a desire to help others whenever possible.
