As a practicing attorney, Stephannie has dedicated a significant portion of her practice to non-profit matters involving women, children and family law in Los Angeles.

She maintains strong ties to her native country, volunteering on the board of a non-profit organization in Nigeria, focused on providing pro bono legal representation to women and children who are victims of civil distress.

Q&A with Stephannie
Do you have a specialty within family law?
Given my prior experience with juvenile dependency cases, I excel in child custody/child safety matters.
What do your clients care about most?
Genuinely being heard and seen is of the utmost priority to most clients. Taking just a few moments to assure them that their concerns are being highly considered is the difference between a true advocate and simply being an attorney.
What is your favorite part of your work?
Client interaction is my favorite part of my practice. Establishing, fostering, and maintaining client relationships is the key to success for any attorney and it is what I genuinely enjoy about my work.
Where did you grow up (e.g., neighborhood, schools, etc.)?
I spent the first 10 years of my life in West Africa’s Nigeria. Moving to the U.S. came as a culture shock but I quickly adapted to the Brentwood/Bel-Air Crest region once I casually realized I had celebrities as neighbors.
Favorite past time (e.g., sport, activity, hobby)?
My peloton bike is my best-friend.
Speak any languages in addition to English?
I am from the Igbo tribe of West Africa. I also speak the language. “Igbo-Kwenu!”
Do you have siblings?
I have four sisters.
Favorite book or movie?
The Children Act by Ian McEwan.
