Family law attorney Erica A. Kubo Kim applies her legal experience and insights in her counsel to clients in disputes over divorce, child support, visitation, custody and other issues.

Fluent in Japanese, Erica is an alumna of University of California, Santa Cruz, and a graduate of Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. While in law school, Erica studied in Tokyo and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Bruce G. Iwasaki of the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles. While working in the judge’s chambers, Erica gained early family law experience with child support, spousal support, custody and property division issues.

Erica’s legal background includes serving as a corporate law intern at an international law firm and experience with depositions, discovery and lien negotiations. Erica was introduced to family law matters while serving as a law clerk at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, where she worked with domestic violence survivors and Japanese-speaking individuals getting divorced.
